Test Engineer

9th Way has an opening for a Test Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. In this position you will ensure that the test design and documentation support all applicable clients, agency or industry standards timelines. As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results. This position will report to the Test Manager and will collaborate with the internal team and clients regularly.    
  • Execute testing process performed at the quality control stage of the manufacturing process 
  • Capture test results and performs data collection on systems 
  • Analyze production requirements and workload to prepare project budgets, schedules, and timetables 
  • Execute assigned tasks within specified project timelines; ensures production deadlines are met 
  • Communicate any significant delays, problems, or changes effected by testing process to Test Manager 
  • Ensure product testing continues until product requirements and specifications are met 
  • Prepare detailed technical reports; evaluates and makes recommendations required to resolve production and operational problems 
  • Evaluate and facilitate implementation of ongoing quality control testing procedures to be incorporated into the regular production process 
  • Evaluate systems; makes recommendations for updating facility processes and procedures to increase efficiency and production 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 
 
Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or Other Engineering or Technical Discipline is required  
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a High Risk Background Clearance positions require a full Background Investigation (BI) 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relatant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities 
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S 
 
Preferred 
  • Active High Risk Background Clearance positions require a full Background Investigation (BI) or equivalent 
  • Prior work experience with the Department of Veteran Affairs 
Work Location

Physical Requirements 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
