Communications Lead

Description 
Insignia Technology Services, a 9th Way Solutions Company, has an immediate opening for a Communications and Governance Lead to join our team in the DC Metro area. In this position, you will create and execute a communications strategy from the client to which various audiences, vehicles, and messages. As Communications and Governance Lead, you will oversee the work assignments of the communications team to ensure effective collaboration among team members and consistent quality work. In this position, you will work cross-functionally throughout the program and collaborate with customers, program management, and contract staff to improve communication.  
  • Create and execute a communications strategy from the client to which various audiences, vehicles, and messages 
  • Oversees the work assignments of the communications team to ensure effective collaboration among team members and consistent quality work 
  • Develop well-written, edited, styled, and audience-appropriate communication across all types of media  
  • Prepare content and critical messages including emails, intranet content, video, presentations, and talking points  
  • Ensure the program is compliant with policies and leverage opportunities to increase exposure through collaboration 
  • Lead and participate in formal and informal cross-functional teams in support of projects and strategic initiatives. 
  • Develop and maintain an active SharePoint presence that serves as an electronic front door for program information. 
  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key initiatives and changes in the program 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 
 
Requirements 
  • Master’s Degree in Business is required; ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Background Clearance Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) 
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities 
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US 
 
Work Location  
Regular on-time and on-site attendance is an essential function of this position. Insignia Technology Services, a 9th Way Solutions Company, reserves the right to adjust work location based upon mission requirements.  
Physical Requirements 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
