Wireless Engineer

Insignia Technology Services has an immediate opening for a Wireless Engineer to join our team in the DC area. In this position, you will manage wireless services, such as design, implementation, and management, to include troubleshooting of complex wireless issues. As a Wireless Engineer, you will configure and manage mobility services, such as Cisco Prime and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). This position will report to the Project Manager and collaborate with IT professionals on the team as well as other government resources.
  • Manage wireless services, such as design, implementation, and management, to include troubleshooting of complex wireless issues
  • Manage all components of the Cisco wireless network, to include access points, controllers, and management systems
  • Configure and manage mobility services, such as Cisco Prime and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Low-Risk Background Clearance National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
 
  • Experience - Wireless Engineer - Mid
  1. High School Degree or equivalent
  2. Minimum of six (6) years of experience managing wireless networks, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in Wi-Fi design, troubleshooting, and possess any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  3. Minimum of one (1) year of experience configuring and administrating Cisco Wi-Fi products, such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  4. CCNP - Wireless Certification or equivalent
  • Experience - Wireless Engineer - Senior
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related is required; four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education 
  2. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing wireless networks, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in Wi-Fi design, troubleshooting, and possess any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  3. Minimum of one (1) year of experience configuring and administrating Cisco Wi-Fi products, such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  4. CCNP-Wireless Certification or equivalent
Preferred
  • Active Low-Risk Background Clearance National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or equivalent
