Senior Architect

Insignia has an opening for a Senior Architect to support the development of enterprise and product level architecture that links the strategy to the business and technical operations.  The Senior Architect will need to act in a consulting capacity to guide senior level clients in the implementation of enterprise and solutions architecture as it pertains to SAFEe DevOps practices. This position will report to the Program Manager and collaborate with the internal team, Clients and Vendors.  As a Senior Architect, you will utilize System Architect, Visio, and several other tools to accomplish the development of architectural artifacts. Additionally, you will participate in business development activities and provide mentorship/training to the customer and internal team
Job Duties
  • Serve as a Senior Architect directly supporting a major client at the Department of Veterans Administration
  • Lead the development of enterprise and solutions level architecture products for a large Health Services Portfolio at the department of Veterans affairs
  • Support enterprise and solutions architecture development across four other portfolios (Corporate Services, Technology Services, Veterans Experience, Benefits Appeals and Memorials)
  • Support the implementation of SAFe DevOps practices
  • Lead and support business development activities at Insignia
  • Provide training as required to both the internal team as well as clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent is required.  Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education 
  • Ten (10) years of architecture experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Five (5)  years working in a Health IT (HIT) environment or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Low Risk Background Clearance positions require a full Background Investigation (BI) 
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following EA frameworks: DoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) year experience working solutions architecture with large scale systems. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and across multiple portfolios/organizations
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with government personnel and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
• Active clearance at the Department of Veterans Administration with Active Personal Identify Verification (PIV) card
• Three (3) – five (5) years of experience with SAFe DevOps practices or SAFe DevOps certification
• Three (3) – five (5) years of experience working solutions architecture with real-time system
• Three (3) – five (5) years of experience supporting VA information technology programs
